Jodie M. Heal, CPA, MAFM

Jodie Heal is the president of Heal Accounting a CPA firm located in the Starfish Center building at 641 St. George Road, in South Thomaston, Maine. She has more than 18 years of experience in providing quality accounting and business advisory services for companies in various industries. This experience includes conducting, supervising and reviewing annual audits and examinations of financial records of a broad range of businesses, as well as tax return preparation for individuals, various small businesses and non-profits.
She provides clients with specialized services, geared to meet their needs. In addition to tax preparation, she also provides accounting and business advisory services. She is fluent in many accounting software platforms and provides set-up, training and tune-ups. She specializes in helping small businesses as well as non-profits.
Jodie received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Berkeley College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She was a graduate with distinction at Keller Graduate School of Management, earning her Master of Accounting and Financial Management degree. She is also a graduate of the Midcoast Leadership Academy and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Emerging Leader Program. In 2018, Jodie received the Women to Watch award in the Emerging Leader category, awarded by the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants.
She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Maine Society of CPAs. She is a board member for the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce, treasurer and board member for Maine Women’s Network-Midcoast chapter and a wish granter for Make-A-Wish. She also participates in various charitable organizations through fundraising and sponsorship.
She was raised in the mid-coast and lives in Warren with her husband, son, and dog.
Laura Miller

Laura Miller is our Administrative Assistant. She was a stay-at-home mom to her four boys for many years. Most recently, Laura worked controlling and preparing cash, as well as reconciling daily sales, for two local businesses.
Laura loves nature; spending time outdoors and on the water with her family, lobstering with her oldest son when time allows. She enjoys art and photography and any time she can find to be creative.
Above all else, she takes the most pride in cheering on and supporting her boys every day in all sports and the many other activities in which they are involved.
Laura’s roots are in Southern Maine where she grew up in North Berwick; she enjoys visiting the area and her parents there as often as she can. She now feels so thankful and lucky to live in the amazing community of St. George, Maine with her boys and her husband, Jake.
Rachel Curtis

Rachel Curtis is a Staff Accountant. She brings with her over 12 years of experience working for the Walt Disney Company at the Disneyland Resort in California. While there, she managed over 1,000 employees, was responsible for the daily running of entertainment and focused on leadership training and development.
Rachel and her family moved back to Maine in 2017 following the birth of their son. A proud mommy and crafting enthusiast, she now lives with her husband and children in Owls Head.
Tasha Bodman

Tasha Bodman is a Staff Accountant. She comes with a background in business management, including office and payroll activities. She also has a experience in managing teams in a call center environment. She studied Liberal Arts at the University of Maine and was a graduate of Georges Valley High School. Tasha was raised in Maine and is a resident of Thomaston. She enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
