Jodie Heal Invited to Serve on National Small Business Association Leadership Council

Alexandria, Virginia

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Jodie Heal of Heal Accounting has earned a Chair on the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association (NSBA). NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization consisting of 65,000 members representing every state and industry in the United States. The nonpartisan organization advocates for the success of small businesses through means of outreach, research, and media relations.  A distinguished leader in the small-business community, Ms. Heal joins the NSBA Leadership Council alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small businesses to policymakers in Washington, D.C.

As a newly appointed member of the leadership team, Heal will partake in meetings following national elections to vote on priority issues for the next session of Congress. She will also play an active role in priority briefings, as well as collaboration with the media.

“Many of my clients started off as small-businesses but have since grown into larger firms. I find it so rewarding to have been there with these clients from the beginning. It is critical to have favorable policies and a strong foundation when you are starting a new business. Support is so important, and I believe every small business has the opportunity to thrive if they have that support and solid financial guidance along the way.” stated Heal.

Heal is the president and founder of Heal Accounting, a CPA/CAS firm and has spent over 18 years providing top tier accounting and advisory services to various companies. Recently Jodie was appointed to the Governing Board of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and was presented with the Maine Society of CPAs 2021 Forward Thinker award.  She is an expert in advising small business owners on technology solutions to assist with critical business decisions and cash flow management.

“I am proud to have Jodie Heal as part of our Leadership Council,” stated NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken. “She came to us highly recommended and I look forward to our coordinated efforts for years to come.”
